Cupping

In this method the therapist uses special cupping instruments to provoke a vacuum effect on the skin. This stimulates the blood circulation and removes tension and stickiness in the tissue. It can be used in specific zones of the body depending on the health concern.

History

Modern cupping glasses can be made of rubber or other synthetic materials with an air valve. This way the time of use can be adjusted to the clients well beeing.

Good to know

A treatment with cupping glasses can provoke bruises or pink marks depending on the stickiness of the tissue, the sensibility of the skin and the amount of tension in the muscles. These color deficiencies should disappear within max. 7 days.
